Impact of Working with the SBDC: Dwain Hutson, a NAPA store employee for nearly 30 years, was able to purchase the business with his wife in 2008 after working on financials with their SBDC advisor for several years. The Hutsons continued to work with their SBDC advisor and were able to purchase the building in January, 2015.

The Twisp NAPA Auto Parts store was near the staging area for the 3,000 firefighters battling Washington’s largest wildfire in state history in 2014, and the Hutson’s management of the store during that time made a huge difference for firefighters and residents. When the entire region lost power for eight days, the Hutsons kept their generator running non-stop the entire time.
